Beyond the Algorithm: Our Transparent Approach to AI in eLearning

The eLearning industry is currently undergoing a seismic shift, and there is no ignoring the elephant in the room: Artificial Intelligence is dominating the industry. With automated platforms generating entire curricula at the click of a button, it is natural to ask a daunting question: Are we too late? Have we entered the industry at a time when algorithms have already cornered the market on what we do best?
We don't believe we are late at all. In fact, we are arriving at precisely the right time.
Right now, many large companies are flooding the market with automated, cookie-cutter courses - what you might call 'AI Slop'. This mass production creates a unique opportunity. As the volume of generic content rises, the value of the authentic, empathetic human educator skyrockets. We deeply understand how people actually learn, and we know that true education requires a human connection that technology simply cannot replicate.
We absolutely use AI, but we use it to elevate our human team, not replace them. Here is a fully transparent look at where the algorithms end and our expertise begin.
How We Leverage AI
We treat AI as a powerful tool in our belt, carefully guided by human curators every step of the way. When we utilise AI, it is strictly to enhance the quality and efficiency of our workflow:
Proofreading and Precision (SPAG): We run our materials through AI to catch spelling, punctuation, and grammar issues, ensuring a polished final product.
Heavy-Lifting Research: AI does not write our courses autonomously. Instead, our human curators guide the AI step-by-step, acting as directors to shape the narrative, refine the tone, and ensure the content hits our specific learning objectives.
Targeted Multimedia: When necessary, we use AI image generation to create specific visual assets, and AI video generators to deliver bite-sized, effective summaries that cater to different learning preferences.
Where Humans Draw the Line
While AI assists in the drafting and formatting process, the structural architecture of our learning experiences remains purely human. We absolutely do not use AI for the overall design of our courses.
The art of instructional design requires empathy and psychological insight. Our experts meticulously manage cognitive load, strategically placing subtle cues and pacing information so learners are challenges without being overwhelmed. We design with the user's emotional and intellectual experience at the forefront - something an algorithm cannot genuinely calculate.
Ultimately, we are a human-led company, and we will continue to be one. If our commitment to authentic, human-designed learning means we occasionally miss a month of putting gout our targeted course quota, we will gladly miss that month. We would rather delay a release than push out substandard, fully automated content.
AI is a brilliant assistant, but it is not the teacher. You can rest assured that when you take one of our courses, a human mind designed the journey.
