About

Welcome to Vulnerable Customers: An Overview "Treating everyone the same" is no longer enough. With UK compliance rules tightly focused on fair outcomes, the professional landscape has shifted from basic customer service to strict statutory expectations. As a frontline team member, understanding how to recognise vulnerability is no longer just a nice-to-have, it is your professional safety net. This module is designed for the busy professional and can be taken as a standalone course or as part of our wider vulnerability series. We strip away the corporate jargon to give you a "Survival Guide" for understanding customer needs. You will learn how to break down the four key drivers of vulnerability, how to spot the hidden red flags in customer interactions, and how to protect both your customer and your professional reputation by recognising when extra care is required. Upon completing this course, you will be able to: LO1: Define the term vulnerable customer and identify the main regulatory body responsible for ensuring these customers are treated fairly. LO2: Describe the four key drivers of vulnerability — Health, Life Events, Resilience, and Capability — and provide at least one example of each. LO3: Recognise common red flags or signs in a customer’s behaviour and circumstances that suggest they may be in a vulnerable situation. Please note that the learning material will be presented as a downloadable ppsx. file (PowerPoint Show). Please ensure you have read and understood the T&Cs of our eLearning service before purchasing. By purchasing this course, you are agreeing to our T&Cs. This course is suitable for laptops and computers, it is accessible via smartphone via the official Microsoft PowerPoint app.
